Choose only five pictures

17th October 2010
I have just finished the weekend Landscape photography course with Magda, Jacinta and Carmel. we had a great couple of days. we were up for the sunrise on Kinloughy Lough this morning, but it was a little disapointing, there was magic light for only a few seconds. As it clouded over we visited the waterfalls on Owenwee river, it was a struggle to get the girls away to get them back to the bed and breakfast for their breakfast.!! We spent the rest of the day working on their pictures in photoshop. The hardest part of the day was when I asked them each to choose only five pictures to edit!!. At the end of the day we printed and framed one picture from each of them . here are the pictures;

Photo comment By Carmel: Hey Eamonn, Just back to Dublin now, we spent the day travelling back through connemara trying to capture as amazing photos as we got over the weekend but we weren't as blessed with the weather..I learned so much over the last 2days and actually had fun in the process!! Our photo's look great wouldn't have realised we were so good before!! Thanks for the weekend, we'll be back for the advanced course!! Carmel
Photo comment By Magda: "So here is the result of our big test:) It was an amazing course!!! Very intensive and very instructive. After leaving sunset and returning to studio we spent another few hours getting to know photoshop. Finally we all decided its time to leave and get a few hours sleep before getting up for a sunrise. We weren't very successful with the light as eamonn didn't have much time to order the Sun after such a busy day:) but he had a plan B, so we went to waterfall and learned how to capture flowing water... I just couldn't stop taking pictures ! Its amazing what you can do with the camera - if someone explain to you how to do it ! After quick break for a breakfast we came back to studio and started to select pictures and work on them. Then we needed to select the one ( out of hundreds we took ) Thjat was the hardest part, as after all we've learned we could see the mistakes we've done , so selection was very carefull and fussy. Could be quicker if Eamonn didn't say that my absolutely favorite picture wasn't sharp enough in the corner:). Seriously, amazing course that I would recomend to everyone. There is no better way to learn photography than to learn from someone who loves it and who live it ! Getting our masterpicture framed at the end was a bit of a shock - did we really took that picture? ! Yes we did, and we could sign it !Then Eamonn framed them for us, which is the best memory and achievement. Even more _ its a big start of our hobby !!! We going to be back soon for for next level classes :0!!! Thank you Eamonn ! We really appreciate all your efforts over the weekend !"
Photo comment By Dave O'Regan: Hi Eamonn, just a few words on your 3 students last weekend. We had the pleasure of having them as guests with us and their sheer enthuasim and conviction about your course and expertise was evident during their entire stay. When the girls were showing us thier frst framed photographs it was akin to watching kids on Christmas morning. Fabuluous photogaphs, great course and great students. Congrats and keep up the good work. Dave.
