Cups of tea and cake

29th April 2010
I had a lovely day today. For most of the day I was photographing pre school children, at the pre school in kiltimagh. The children were all so sweet. Some were real performers and we had to try and hold back the smiles, and others were so shy that coaxing a smile took everything this photographer and the playschool teacher could think of in terms of jokes, face pulling and outrageous noises. I have photographed this playschool every year for close to ten years now. Today I was left wondering how I ever succeeded when using film, for one child today I took 22 photogaphs before I captured a smile!! In the good old days thats a whole roll of film!
One little girl must have seen my stress levels rising and kept bringing me cups of tea and cake from the sandpit!!

For obivious reasons I can’t post pictures of the children , so I am posting a sunrise from oldhead taken two weeks ago.

Photo comment By omnishots: Glorious sky, lovely light and the best part for me is the warm glow on the mountain. The path across the sea to the sun is pretty good too!
Photo comment By Eamonn: Thanks Monica.
Photo comment By Ann-Marie Mulloy: Was really disappointed when I opened your blog thought I was going to see food photography of afternoon tea ! Guess your photo of OldHead will have to do but it is rather nice - with that interesting sky.
