Mulranny beach

05th July 2010

I am posting the phototaken on Mulranny strand yesterday. This evening i was in mulranny, tonight was the last of my "Monday night class sessions" this group have been together for three courses now. Wew had decided to meet for a meal and to go taking photographs later. We did not go to Achill as we had intended, because we spent too long having our mealwe arrived in Mulranny just as the sun sank and had very little time to work. After the sun set I decided to try an abstract picture of Mulranny strand.

I am hoping to do an exhibition of these abstract pictures for the westport arts festival .

Photo comment By Lyle: love the shimmering abstract Eamonn. It seems to move as you look, bw Lyle
Photo comment By omnishots: That abstract was well worth the wait and the wet. I love the soft feel and that gorgeous swirl in the foreground is super. Still feel sad that the course is over!
Photo comment By Sinead: Yea Eamonn I like it. I was wondering what on earth u were doin as we had given up. Now i know!!
Photo comment By eamonn: Thanks for your kind comments, I have to admit though that there is a certain amount of luke involved in these type of pictures. you can never be sure of exactly how they will come out, which is part of the fun of course. It seems to be subjct to what you point the camera at and the speed at which you move the camera during the exposure.
Photo comment By John Burke: Been over to Co Mayo last September, stayed in louiseburgh and trailed down to Kylmore Abbey. Took some nice shots with my Canon 50D, but not very happy with the outcome, thinking of trying again with the help of the professional on my next visit. Iove your coastal shots.
