High Contrast

10th November 2010
In last nights advanced nightclass we discussed black and white photography, what subjects made good black and white and we also looked at various ways of converting pictures to Black and white. We agreed that Black and White best suits subjects with High Contrast and never take the pictures in Black and white ( on a digital camera) its always better to convert afterwards. this morning I went to Mulranney and the scene had plenty of contrast so thinking of my "students" from last night I took this..

Photo comment By lyle: great shot Eamonn - love the mist off the waves and thanks for the training session, it has really helped. As a reluctant early-birder, it is great to see shots that are possible when the sun is up!
Photo comment By Teresa Cowley: Hi Eamonn, Super Shot. I was also on Mulranny beach same day - wern't the waves amazing, I thought the colours were to gray to take anything spectacular , but I never thought of converting to black & white, what a dork I am
Photo comment By Sinead: Like it a lot. I was disappointed I had to miss mondays class.
Photo comment By omnishots: Spectacular picture. How wonderful it is when the spray blows back off the waves!
