Retest!

A frustrating start to the day today. I recently sent my van for its road worthiness test and it failed on a number of minor issues, so it spent some time in the garage getting fixed, but most time was spent waiting for spare parts. When you fail you have 21 days to get a retest, at the retest the garage only tests what failed and it costs €40+ instead on the €111 fee for the full commercial test. Of course I failed to notice that the deadline for my retest was on the bank holiday weekend so having collected the car from the garage on thursday I tried to book it in for a retest only to be told , sorry we are closed until Tuesday. So I then had to book it in for a COMPLETE retest which happened today, and would you believe it failed on two completely different things to the original failures and it has not travelled a 100 miles since the original test!!! So now its back in the garage for more repairs and another retest next week!! So you can imagine I was like a bear with a sore head, but Trish took me out for my tea in Westport this evening and I'm all settled again!
