The delux version
16th October 2010
I have just finished day one of a two day Landscape workshop. Magda, Jacintha and Carmel came from Dublin for the two days. We met this morning at 8.30 in the gallery and spent the morning doing the technical stuff, camera metering, histograms etc before going out and about for the afternoon. We had great fun and a fantastic day weather wise, I joked that I had booked a sunset which was due at 6.38, so we had to leave other interesting locations earlier then we wanted, to get to Rossbeg for the sunset. Well thank you Lord, I had just ordered an ordinary sunset but what we got was the delux version! Following the sunset we waited around to see the colours of the twilight develop and only for Carmel ran out of memory cards I think we might still be there!. Anyway we returned to the studio for a short introduction to photoshop and are meeting again in the morning at 7.30 for a sunrise on a local lough. The forcast is not great but we might be lucky!

By lyle: I was thinking, as the sun went down, you must have had a good day today. Hopefully tomorrow will be good too. BW Lyle
By Magda: "It was absolutely great day!!! Early start to explain us how the camera work... simple things - I woudnt say so ! we were trying a couple of courses in Dublin and werent happy with them. we were absolutely amazed with Eamonn - he really loves his hobby and he knows how to pass that passion to his students. He wouldn't even let us go for lunch ( joking:) He had soup ready for us so we could stay in studio and talk more about photography. Then he took us to absolutely gorgeous places, so we could practice what we've just learned. We played with cameras and all settings, we were taking lots of pictures of one view just to catch the best one. Eamonn was around all the time checking very carefully if we were doing the right things - thank you for all the tips ! we got so much into fun of photography that we needed to rush for a sunset he ordered for us It was just magnificent view ! and a big test for us "
