Very Dark

Busy day today, I am in Mulranny leading a landscape photography course. The weather was pretty bad when we started our evening session and we debated wether it was worth going out or not! We did not see the sun and the cloud cover was very low making it very dark. We still made pictures however and everybody was happy to have made the effort, and surprised that good pictures could be made in such conditions. We were leaving the beach about an hour after sunset time when I asked Sue and Pete from Alaska to sit for a quick portrait using off camera flash . This is a 5 second exposure @ f8 and iso100. The flash, a Nikon is at full power.
