You know you are getting old when.........
A few days ago I stopped to admire this plant outside a cafe. Of course the plant pot it is contained in is an old milk churn. It occurred to me that we no longer see milk churns accept to hold plants! But I remember as a child in West Cork. and also in Co offaly the milk churn was a daily site. i remember the farmers taking the milk to the creamery in one two or maybe three milk churns, on a trailer being pulled by a donkey.! it was only as I recounted my memories to Patricia that I realized just how old I must sound, and I was glad there were no young people around to hear me!!! ( Patricia remembers the milk churns but not the donkeys and cart, but sure she was a city girl!!)
